Thanks Peter, it is a real pity. The customer's incumbent IT provider are a Microsoft shop and have already pointed out that the Outlook/MS Office requirements within a XenApp environment are half that of the Notes Standard client. It sure does make the sale harder to achieve.

Mike, the problems of Notes/Quickr with XenApp are well known. It seems, that IBM does not have a strategic focus on terminla server support, as you can also read here:
<a href="http://www.edbrill.com/ebrill/edbrill.nsf/dx/lotusphere-2011-inv105-messaging-and-collaboration-strategy?opendocument&comments#anc1" rel="nofollow">Comments #3/4 @EdBrill's</a>
In comparision to the Microsoft client stack you have to size the Citrix farm twice as big with Notes standard.

I am very sorry about that, too, because I have to help another IBM customer to migrate his Notes-only environment to a new platform...

Sorry to hear the problems - sounds as though up until that point it was going well.

I don't have an answer but have to say I can't understand why IBM does not put more of an effort into ensuring it's products work in TS/Citrix/VDI enviroments. The number of these are only going to increase.

So as long as you don't screw with DAOS it will play happily ?
Just turned it on here on the Lotus DR server ... went from 181GB of Mail and archives to 107.2GB that includes the filestore
that's a huge saving in disk space utilisation.
Backup is an issue as Arcserve do not support DAOS until V14 which is in beta testing

@11 - I agree totally Henning, but where do you draw the line on determining whether the product delivers or not? I would suggest that it isn't for one user (albeit I suppose you could argue that in an 8 person company this equates to a 12.5% stake) who has to be different in terms of his technology setup/requirements from everyone else in the office.

I can only applaud on any customer who is brave enough to migrate if their current product does not deliver. It is the best answer you can give a vendor. If that vendor is IBM so be it. In theory this could also work the other way around.
